Reversible Jump MCMC: WinBUGS Jump Interface

You can download the Jump interface below. This can be used to fit a range of "variable selection" and "automatic spline" models. Please refer to the following articles for further details; please also use these when citing the interface.

Please note that installing the patch will result in your "Updater/Rsrc/Methods.odc" file being overwritten. If you have previously modified this file then you may wish to make a copy of it before installing the patch.

Instructions:

  1. Save the file (jump.exe) to any location on your computer.
  2. The saved file is a self-extracting archive that when double-clicked (and subsequently unzipped) will deposit a file called jump_gene_patch_15_10_08.txt into your Program Files/WinBUGS14 directory.
  3. To install the patch open the jump_gene_patch_15_10_08.txt file from within WinBUGS 1.4 and follow the instructions at the top of the file.
  4. After installation, documentation for the Jump interface can be found in: Program Files/WinBUGS14/Jump/Docu/jump_manual.pdf.
